You guessed it - these are the same sliced oranges from yesterday's painting. They are really delicious and beautiful, too. You should try them. Have a great day!

I saw these (blood) red oranges in Sicily, for the first time, last year on our vacation. It was a nice surprise to see them again at our local grocery store, the other day - they make good painting models and they are very sweet. Have a great day! Theresa Miller

Apple Blossoms

Apple Blossoms 6" x 6"

Watercolor on Arches paper

Our old apple tree in the backyard is blooming again and it looks content in the sun. I can smell the beautiful aroma of the delicate flowers and the bees seem to like them, too. Last year we had a bumper crop: nearly 50 apples that were made into apple sauce, compote and pies. I froze everything that we could not immediately consume but they are all gone by now. So, I'm counting on this year's crop to be a good one, again!

I hope you like the small painting of my backyard apple blossoms. Have a great day!

White Cattleyas

I spent most of the day getting ready for an upcoming art exhibit at the United Nations - Geneva, which starts on the 8th of May. I still have a couple of weeks to finish up with the preparations but it's a hectic time, if you know what I mean. If you are in town, please come to see our work. Let me know in advance, so that I can add your name to the guest list. The security is so strict at the UN nowadays that, if you are not in the list, they will not allow you to enter. Sorry for that!
White Cattleyas is one of the paintings that I'm showing at the UN. I hope you like it. Have a great day!

First Crocus 6"x6"
Watercolor on Arches paper

This is the first crocus that appeared in my garden this year. Don't you just love them? They usually mean that spring has finally arrived and warmer days are coming ahead. However, this year we had two snowfalls, afterwards. Beautiful snow! And the crocuses were so strong and they didn't seem to mind. Have a great day!

Anemone 6"x 6"
Watercolor on Arches paper
It's been a fairly wet spring and it rained most of the day, yesterday. No reason to be depressed - I painted all day and had a great time! Here's my Daily Painting piece. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed painting it. When I saw this gem last week in Rolle, I knew I'd be painting it sooner than later. Have a great day!
Email me at if you are interested in purchasing this piece.

White poppies by Theresa Miller

White Poppies 6"x6"
Watercolor on Arches paper

These poppies were bloming beautifully, last week , by the entrance of the greenhouses at the Botanical Gardens in Geneva. The petals looked so fragile in the wind but the sun was shining and bathing the petals just right, it was a perfect picture. We have had a wonderful spring, so far, in Switzerland.

I have been painting larger watercolors in the past several years - some are even larger than 30" x 40". Because this is the very first 6"x6" watercolor I made for my daily painting blog, I felt I was doing miniature painting! I had a great time painting it, though, and I hope you like it. Comments are welcome.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog. If you are interested in purchasing any of my paintings, please, email me at:

Sunny Magnolia I, 13"x20"

Watercolor on Arches paper

I have been a daily painter for the past five years, since I found the wonderful world of watercolors and realized that I was destined to paint for life. Enjoy my paintings!

I love magnolias, one of my favorite flowers in spring. I painted Sunny Magnolia I last year when we had a glorious spring here in Switzerland. This original painting is available for sale. Please, email me at for inquiries.
