Friends III (Yellow and Red Bell Pepper)

Friends III (Yellow and Red Bell Peppers)
6.5" x 10" Watercolor on Paper
This is the last of 3 paintings of these delicious pair of bell peppers. I handbuilt and fired the plate in the painting some time ago, when I lived in Tokyo. I hope you like it!

Hope that all is well there & that when you make anothe trip to Brasil that you will make a stop to see us in Montevideo... not sure exactly what the place is like yet but I do know that it is peaceful compared to Roma...and I really needed something like that after the last 6 months...

Love to all,

Theresa- I completely believe that plate. I feel like I've seen it before, or held it. And even though you'd think with the light coming from the left, you wouldn't have that light edge on the right of the plate... it works VERY well, separating the cast shadow of the pepper from the cast shadow of the plate. Great.

WOW! I love this painting, the smooth texture of the bell peppers read so well, especially contrasted with the textured plate they are placed on. Lovely purple/violet shadows as well...
